Pay Attention. You’ve heard it said before.
Whatever you put your attention on grows.
The question is, do you truly understand this principle?
How you look at something, how you perceive it, whatever emotion you decide to attach to it, will create your outcome.
Think about doing something you dread. Does dread feel good to you? Of course not.
It’s dreadful, because you think it is.
It’s like doing dishes, something I used to loathe.
I couldn’t wait to be finished, and I made the process quite difficult for myself.
This is an activity that needs to be done daily, correct?
Enter something I love… music.
Now when I do the dishes, I tune in and get lost in my music.
I turn my focus to something I love, with something that needs to be done, and before I know it, voila, the task is complete, and I feel good.

So, what have you been placing your attention on lately?
Are you giving attention to things you want in life? Be honest.
We have a tendency to pay attention to whatever is in front of us,
whether we want to or not.
Tragedy, fear, or tantalizing shiny objects;
we’re distracted by what’s in front of us
and what’s around us.
When we attempt something new,
we have a flood of thoughts about it.
It’s time to identify whether the flood of thoughts is beneficial or debilitating.
Do the thoughts move you toward what you want or take you further away?
Only by stepping back can we tell the difference.
What’s working?
When things are going well and we experience a stream of wins,
it’s important to reflect and ask ourselves what is working.
We must take the time to note the circumstances surrounding our success.
We’re epic at identifying our failure.
We know everything about it.
The time of day it occurred, the color, the scent in the air, even the name it whispers.
When failure calls, stop answering the phone!
Our goal here is to become more intimate with our wins and what is going well for ourselves.
I call these gems our Personal Formulas for Success.
We each have personal formulas, and they work;
our job is to become conscious of them.
Document your personal formulas like you would a precious recipe.
A pinch of courage, a cup of motivation, a call to my business partner, topped by a brainstorm with my Mastermind Group.
Serve when hot. Remember, what you focus on grows.
