If this time has taught me anything, and it has taught me many things, it has taught me about the necessity of being kinder to myself.  We’re schooled from a very young age about the importance of being kind to others, but little on how to turn that inward.  Covid has given the gift of insight, having the ability to see what truly matters, when nothing else does.  Kindness to myself feels like patience when I would otherwise rush and cause disharmony to those around me.  Kindness sounds like tuning into myself and my intention for the day, before reaching for emails.  Kindness looks like creating a daily ritual of joy, which is most likely connecting with friends or listening to music that transports me.  Kindness to myself is spending time in nature every single day.  Because my sense of peace rests on it.  What does being kind to yourself look like these days?  Please comment on this post as to assist us and Guest Steffi Black, Kindness Advocate and Strategist, in Spreading a Culture of Kindness; let this be our shared vision.  When unsure of what’s next, let kindness lead the way. Happy International Kindness Day!
