There are those who talk about getting things done, and there are those doing it. Big difference.  We are all in agreement that circumstances and conditions in our lives, communities, counties, states, and in our nation need repair, but how many are willing and able to do the work necessary? I’m inspired by the groundbreaking efforts San Diego County Board Supervisor Chairwoman Kristin Gaspar is doing to make things better for the underserved and underprivileged.  She’s attempting to implement models of prevention and rehabilitation for youth, homeless, and Vets, that are working wonders in other states, and bring these solutions to California.

She and I had a follow up meeting yesterday, after our interview, on exchanging referrals and resources.  Chairwoman Gaspar is actively seeking partners for the “Live Well San Diego” initiative with their vision of “building better health, living safely, and thriving.”  This initiative to date has over 400 organizations and companies involved.

Thank you for listening to this interview and perspective of one woman who does it all, and is finally in her ideal position to create better opportunities for those who cannot advocate for themselves.  I invite you to enjoy her unique perspective and outlook on life with an open mind and an open heart, of how all of us can actually work together to make things better.
