Courage is a wild beast.  Without it we would stay in the same place.  In the movie Julie and Julia, Julie doubts herself as she toys with the idea of starting her own blog on cooking.  She says, “I am no Julia Child,” and her husband chimes in with the most brilliant line of all time, “Julia Child wasn’t always Julia Child!”  His point was, in the beginning, Julia Child also did not have any idea what she was doing; all she knew was that she wanted to do it.  And she did.  Then she went to cooking classes entirely made of men and she had the courage to experiment with her journey and risk looking like a fool.  She was not afraid of failure, she was more dedicated to the curiosity of her experience.  This is how I look at challenges, and attempt things I was not ready to do in previous years before.  I was more committed to my curiosity of the experience than of my fear not to have that experience.  Project Happiness picked up my post on overcoming a difficult hike that I thought I could not do; and shared the victory of my story doing it.  Thank you for being courageous on this journey with me.  The leading edge can get lonely, and I love it so.  I know you too want to do so many wonderful things.  If we can each help each other be inspired and a little more brave, than truly there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
